Private Practice gets a full season order

Posted by blackhat on October 18th, 2007
Private PracticeKristin from E! Online reports that ABC has picked up Grey's Anatomy spin-off Private Practice for a full season. Even if fan comments (including my own) about the first episodes were not all positive towards the writing and acting of the show, enough of viewers watched the series (that's 12 million viewers just last Wednesday) to grant the show a pick up.Yep, that means we are stuck with angry Naomi for a complete season! It also means that Addison will not go back to Seattle Grace, something a good number of Grey's Anatomy fans wanted to see happen.

Land of the Lost film a go

Enik the SleestakUniversal Pictures has just signed Brad Silberling to direct the big screen version of the '70s cult hit Land of the Lost. Silberling joins Will Ferrell on the project which is set to start shooting in March. The original Saturday morning series told the story of explorer Rick Marshall who, while on a "routine expedition" with his children (for some reason) Will and Holly, fell through a fault in the Earth and ended up in a prehistoric world filled with dinosaurs, cavemen and evil lizard creatures known as sleestaks. Here's a little known fact, the "good" sleestak, Enik was played by NBA pro Bill Laimbeer.

Thank You For Smoking now coming to USA

Posted by blackhat on October 9th, 2007
Thank You For SmokingLate last year, Julia told you about the TV version of the Aaron Eckhart movie Thank You For Smoking. Back then the show was being developed for NBC, but now comes word that the show will be seen on USA instead.
The TV version of the movie - which showed the ups and downs in the life of a morally flexible man who worked for the tobacco industry - will take place after the film and show the Nick Naylor character working for other people. The script will be written by James Dodson. The film was based on the novel by Christopher Buckley.

Prison Break: Good Fences

Lincoln and Michael(S03E04) "I don't need to know how to change a diaper to know when it stinks to high hell." - BellickWell there you have it. "What's in the box" turned out to be what we all expected. For those that thought there was still a glimmer of hope that we might see more of Dr. Sara Tancredi this season, you can stop holding your breath. I suggest reading that link (it's from Ausiello over at TV Guide) with an open mind. You'll know what I mean after you skim through it. Anyway, upon opening up his little gift from The Company, Lincoln saw the worst -- Sara's head neatly wrapped up in some decorative tissue paper.
